I decided to read this while waiting to borrow the latest Ryan book from my father-in-law, which we bought as a gift for him. "Red Storm Rising" is a lengthier, epic tale of war between NATO and the USSR and its allies. Features the authors classic attention to detail and realism, including the first reference I'd heard to stealth planes dropping laser-guided smart bombs. Not part of the Jack Ryan universe.
