Book 4 of the Expanse series takes us through the gate to explore the first extra-solar planet Illus. I read "Cibola Burn" after seeing the first four seasons, and was not disappointed. Just as with Abaddon's Gate, there were some minor differences in the storyline and one major character change, but all the essential ingredients combine to make this an enjoyable read.
